HKinema is a free magazine published bimonthly by the Hong Kong Film Critics Society. each issue will in-depth focus on studying different kinds of film topics. I've worked on this project since issue 55. In the latest issue 58, HKFCS interviewed one of the Hong Kong second-wave film directors Clara Law Cheuk-yiu, and Integrate her career timeline and story. As for issue 59, HKFCS highlights movie adaptations of Hong Kong films and deep dive into the influence of these films.
HKinema is “a self-made word imitating Latin, which when taken out is Hong Kong Cinema. It refers to Hong Kong movies, a cultural power field that has deenchanted and re-established its charm at the same time.”
